A tag game as SOLO for one player
Originally developed to be played in pairs (hence the title tag game) the variant described here makes it suitable for a single person. The idea is that the learner becomes familiar with novel scientific words through solving a wordsearch.
The responsible adult prints pages 7 – 10 from the File (the wordsearch and sheets A,B, C ); the wordsearch is placed at a fixed position in one room and the other sheets distributed around another room, either vertically on the walls or on tables. The idea is that the learner has to read the word in one place then move to the wordsearch at the table whilst remembering the word and its spelling.
